Requirements
YOUSA candidates seeking to apply for the F-1 student visa must meet a few requirements to be considered into our English program and receive an I-20 with our school.
- Be at least 16 years old and have completed high school.
- Be available to attend classes for a minimum period of 16 weeks, 18 hours per week.
- Proof of financial conditions must reflect the required minimum balances during your time of studies at YOUSA.
Registration Process
Have the following PDF documents available before starting the online application:
- Copy of passport (student and dependent, if any).
- Bank statements from the last 30 days that prove the required minimum account funds.
- In the case of a financial sponsor, the Affidavit of Financial Support must be signed by the sponsor, and a copy of the sponsor’s ID must be presented as well.
Transfer your F-1 record to YOUSA.
For students currently enrolled at another U.S. school who want to continue their English studies at YOUSA Learning Institute.

Pre-requisites
- Transfer students must be in good standing with their current school’s attendance, academic and financial policies.
- Prove the minimum income required for the desired period of study.
- Open availability to attend a minimum period of 16 weeks (1 term) at YOUSA Learning Institute.
Enrollment
Gather all the necessary documents into PDF:
- Copy of Passport (F-1 student and F-2 dependents, if any).
- Copy of Bank Statements from the last 30 days.
- Copy of the F-1 student’s current I-20.
- Copy of the F-1 student’s Academic Transcript from the previous school.
- Copy of I-94 (F-1 student and F-2 dependents, if any).
- Copy of F-1 visa (if applicable).
- Transfer In Form completed and signed by the DSO of the previous school.
Copy of the sponsor’s proof of income from the last 30 days; Affidavit of Financial Support signed by the sponsor; and a copy of the sponsor’s government-issued identification card with a visible picture and matching signature.
Proof of Minimum Income
Provide bank statements showing the minimum required funds.
Apply for F-1 status from inside the U.S.
For eligible applicants already in the United States who want to change their current non-immigrant status to F-1 and study at YOUSA.

- Be present on American soil for at least 91 days.
- Present proof of financial capacity for the period of study.

- Copy of passport (student and dependent, if any).
- Copy of tourist visa (student and dependents, if any).
- Copy of I-94 (student and dependents, if any).
- Bank statements from the last 30 days that prove the required minimum account funds.
- In the case of a financial sponsor, the Affidavit of Financial Support form must be signed by the sponsor, and a copy of the sponsor’s ID must be presented as well.

For local students and visitors who want to improve conversation, vocabulary and pronunciation through YOUSA’s Semi-Intensive program.

Our Semi-Intensive program is created especially to suit students who live in or are visiting Orlando. We offer integrated skills with a focus on conversation, vocabulary and pronunciation. Classes are given 4 days a week, full time or weekends.
